Microsoft advised shareholders not to vote for the resolution in proxy materials. The company stated that it would duplicate existing policies.
Microsoft will release an annual report that details its policies regarding sexual harassment and gender discrimination, it said.
“This report will be a significant step towards addressing the key topics included in the shareholder proposition,” the company said. “Microsoft does not condone harassment or discrimination.”
